Great are you, Indra, who are mind and consciousness; you are the great seer who has abandoned weariness. May you, knower of the Maruts, give us insight; graciously attend to our prayers, for you are indeed the bestower.
You, Indra, are mighty from the might of those of whom you are the protector against abandonment therefore, creator of the Maruts, favourably-minded towards us, grant us those blessings which are most dear to you.
As, Indra, from great treason thou protectest, yea, from great treachery these who approach us, So, marking well, Controller of the Maruts grant us their blessings, for they are thy dearest.
