eṣa vaḥ stomo maruta iyaṃ gīrmāndāryasya mānyasya kāroḥ eṣā yāsīṣṭa tanve vayāṃ vidyāmeṣaṃ vṛjanaṃ jīradānum
This hymn of yours, O Maruts, is the song of Mandārya, the maker of esteem. It is that praise which has stretched forth your strength; let this benediction, irresistible, bestow vigour upon the cattle and the folk.
This praise, Maruts, is for you; this hymn is for you, (the work) of a venerable author, capable of conferring delight (by his laudations); may the praise reach you for (the good of your) person ns, so that we may thence obtain food, strength and long life.
May this your laud, may this your song O Maruts, sung by the poet Mana's son, Mandarya, Bring offspring for ourselves with food to feed us. May we find strengthening food in full abundance.
