joṣadyadīmasuryā sacadhyai viṣitastukā rodasī nṛmaṇāḥ ā sūryeva vidhato rathaṃ gāttveṣapratīkā nabhaso netyā
May the mighty Sun be joyful for you; may he, shining forth, be propitious and not injure mortals. May the law-giver (Vishvakarman) drive the chariot of the sky for you, guiding the leaders of heaven.
Rodasī, the associate of the scatterers (of the clouds), with dishevelled tresses, and mind devoted to her lords, woos them to associate (with her); radiant in form, she has ascended the car of the restless (Maruts) as Sūrya (ascended the car of the Aśvins), and comes hither (with the celerity) of the sun.
When chose immortal Rodasi to follow- she with loose tresses and heroic spirit- She climbed her servant's chariot, she like Surya with cloud-like motion and refulgent aspect.
