This praise of yours is the Marut, this song that springs from the heart of Mandārya, made by Kāraḥ. This is the hymn that was extended for you two; may it grant us knowledge and the prosperous herd, life-giving for cattle.
This praise, Maruts, is for you, this hymn is for you, (the work) of a venerable author, capable of conferring delight (by his laudations); may the praise reach you for (the good of your) person ns, so that we may thence obtain food, strength, and long life.
May this your laud, may this your song, O Maruts, sung by the poet, Mana's son, Mandarya, Bring offspring for ourselves with. food to feed us. May we find strengthening food in full abundance.
