व॒यम॒द्येन्द्र॑स्य॒ प्रेष्ठा॑ व॒यं श्वो वो॑चेमहि सम॒र्ये । व॒यं पु॒रा महि॑ च नो॒ अनु॒ द्यून्तन्न॑ ऋभु॒क्षा न॒रामनु॑ ष्यात्
vayamadyendrasya preṣṭhā vayaṃ śvo vocemahi samarye vayaṃ purā mahi ca no anu dyūntanna ṛbhukṣā narāmanu ṣyāt
We are today the foremost worshippers of Indra; we speak to you as allies. We once in ancient times offered you strength; grant us, O mighty one, the blessing of heroes and give us men in succession.
Let us, who are beloved of Indra, glorify him today; let us glorify him tomorrow, at the sacred rite; let us glorify him for our great (good), in future days as of old, so that Ṛbhukṣin may ever be favourable to us amongst men.
May we this day be dearest friends of Indra, and let us call on him in fight to-morrow. So were we erst. New might attend us daily! So be with us! Rbhuksan of the Heroes!
