प्र स्क॒म्भदे॑ष्णा अनव॒भ्ररा॑धसोऽलातृ॒णासो॑ वि॒दथे॑षु॒ सुष्टु॑ताः । अर्च॑न्त्य॒र्कं म॑दि॒रस्य॑ पी॒तये॑ वि॒दुर्वी॒रस्य॑ प्रथ॒मानि॒ पौंस्या॑
pra skambhadeṣṇā anavabhrarādhaso'lātṛṇāso vidatheṣu suṣṭutāḥ arcantyarkaṃ madirasya pītaye vidurvīrasya prathamāni pauṃsyā
They, unclouded, stand like pillars, with grassless altars in the contests, praised in the gatherings; they worship the sun for the joy of the libation, knowing the valiant first among the gods.
Givers without stint, possessors of inexhaustible riches, devoid of malevolence, ever glorified at sacrifices, they worship the adorable (Indra), for (the sake of) drinking (the Soma) wine; for they know the first manly exploits of the hero.
Givers of during gifts whose bounties never fail, free from ill-will, at sacrifices glorified, They sing their song aloud that they may drink sweet juice: well do they know the Hero's first heroic deeds.
