This praise, Maruts, is for you; this hymn is for you; (the work) of a venerable author, capable of conferring (by his laudations); may the praise reach you (for the good of your) person ns, so that we may thence obtain food, strength, and long life.

May this your laud, may this your song, O Maruts, sung by the poet, Mana's son, Mandarya, Bring offspring for ourselves with food to feed us. May we find strengthening food in full abundance.
