मा॒ता पि॒तर॑मृ॒त आ ब॑भाज धी॒त्यग्रे॒ मन॑सा॒ सं हि ज॒ग्मे । सा बी॑भ॒त्सुर्गर्भ॑रसा॒ निवि॑द्धा॒ नम॑स्वन्त॒ इदु॑पवा॒कमी॑युः
mātā pitaramṛta ā babhāja dhītyagre manasā saṃ hi jagme sā bībhatsurgarbharasā nividdhā namasvanta idupavākamīyuḥ
Mother and father, immortal, shared it; with concentrated thought I beheld them in front. She, filled and pierced with the loathsome womb, bowed down; they went to this purifying spring.
The mother, (earth), worships the father, (sun), with holy rites, for the sake of water; but he has anticipated (her wants) in his mind; whereupon desirous of progeny, she is penetrated by the dews of impregnation, and, (all) expectant of abundance, exchange words (of congratulation).
The Mother gave the Sire his share of Order: with thought, at first, she wedded him in spirit. She, the coy Dame, was filled with dew prolific: with adoration men approached to praise her.
