yaste stanaḥ śaśayo yo mayobhūryena viśvā puṣyasi vāryāṇi yo ratnadhā vasuvidyaḥ sudatraḥ sarasvati tamiha dhātave kaḥ
Whoever was your foster-breast, whoever became food for Mayu—by whom all riches and nourishments were made to flourish? Who is the knower of treasure, the skilled Vasavidya, Sarasvati—who here is fit for the claim?
Sarasvatī, that retiring breast, which is the source of delight, with which you bestow all good things, which is the container of wealth, the distributor of riches, the giver of good (fortune); that (bodom) do you lay open at this season for our nourishment.
That breast of thine exhaustless, spring of pleasure, wherewith thou feedest all things that are choicest, Wealth-giver, treasure. finder, free bestower,-bring that, Sarasvati, that we may drain it.
