पञ्च॑पादं पि॒तरं॒ द्वाद॑शाकृतिं दि॒व आ॑हुः॒ परे॒ अर्धे॑ पुरी॒षिण॑म् । अथे॒मे अ॒न्य उप॑रे विचक्ष॒णं स॒प्तच॑क्रे॒ षळ॑र आहु॒रर्पि॑तम्
pañcapādaṃ pitaraṃ dvādaśākṛtiṃ diva āhuḥ pare ardhe purīṣiṇam atheme anya upare vicakṣaṇaṃ saptacakre ṣaḷara āhurarpitam
They called the father five-footed and of twelvefold form; heaven named him beyond the half of purishin. Others above measured seven wheels; six-darters they called formed offerings.
They have termed the five-footed, twelve-formed parent, Puriṣin, when in the further hemisphere of the sky; and others have termed in Arpita, when in the hither (portion of the sky); shining in his seven-wheeled car), each (wheel) having six spokes.
They call him in the farther half of heaven the Sire five-footed, of twelve forms, wealthy in watery store. These others say that he, God with far-seeing eyes, is mounted on the lower seven-wheeled, six-spoked car.
