आ॒त्मानं॑ ते॒ मन॑सा॒राद॑जानाम॒वो दि॒वा प॒तय॑न्तं पतं॒गम् । शिरो॑ अपश्यं प॒थिभिः॑ सु॒गेभि॑ररे॒णुभि॒र्जेह॑मानं पत॒त्रि
ātmānaṃ te manasārādajānāmavo divā patayantaṃ pataṃgam śiro apaśyaṃ pathibhiḥ sugebhirareṇubhirjehamānaṃ patatri
They perceived your self, O mind’s essence, as birds descending by day: with heads they saw you, moving along the paths like winged beings, leaders of the assembly.
I recognize in my mind your form afar off, going from (the earth) below, by way of heaven, to the sun. I behold your head soaring aloft, and mountain quickly by unobstructed paths, unsullied by dust.
Thyself from far I recognized in spirit,-a Bird that from below flew through the heaven.
