yamena dattaṃ trita enamāyunagindra eṇaṃ prathamo adhyatiṣṭhat gandharvo asya raśanāmagṛbhṇātsūrādaśvaṃ vasavo nirataṣṭa
What Yama gave, the threefold, Indra first placed that very offering. The Gandharva seized his spoils; the gods and Vasus yoked the fierce steed.
Trita harnessed the horse which was given by yama; Indra first mounted him, and gandharva seized his reins. Vasus, you fabricated the horse from the sun.
This Steed which Yama gave hath Trita harnessed, and him, the first of all, hath Indra mounted. His bridle the Gandharva grasped. O Vasus, from out the Sun ye fashioned forth the Courser.
