उप॒ प्रागा॑त्सु॒मन्मे॑ऽधायि॒ मन्म॑ दे॒वाना॒माशा॒ उप॑ वी॒तपृ॑ष्ठः । अन्वे॑नं॒ विप्रा॒ ऋष॑यो मदन्ति दे॒वानां॑ पु॒ष्टे च॑कृमा सु॒बन्धु॑म्
upa prāgātsumanme'dhāyi manma devānāmāśā upa vītapṛṣṭhaḥ anvenaṃ viprā ṛṣayo madanti devānāṃ puṣṭe cakṛmā subandhum
Before they came, I placed my mind in the minds of the gods; the breath that went forth is broad‑backed. Thus the seers praise this beloved endeavour of the gods and made the strong bond of nourishing kinship.
May my desire be of itself accomplished, such as it has been entertained, that the smooth-backed steed should come to (gratify) the expectations of the gods; we have made him well-secured for the nutriment of the gods; let the wise saints now rejoice.
Forth, for the regions of the Gods, the Charger with his smooth back is come my prayer attends him. In him rejoice the singers and the sages. A good friend have we won for the Gods' banquet.
