They fought me longest in the tenth age. For the sake of waters the wanderers become Brahman; the charioteer is the lord.
Dīrghatamas, the son of Mamatā, has grown old after the tenth yuga (has passed); he is the Brahmā of those who seek to obtain the object of their (pious) works; he is their charioteer.
Dirghatamas the son of Mamati hath come to length of days in the tenth age of human kind. He is the Brahman of the waters as they strive to reach their end and aim: their charioteer is he.
