Who among you gives these gifts and the good counsel? Wealthy ones, accept homage at the feet of kine. The revetments obtained for me the city’s pride; the daughters moved about in desire with mind intent.
Granters of dwellings, who may make you offerings so propitiatory of that your good will, that (invoked) by our adoration, to the site of the altar, you may entertain (favourable intentions towards us), and grant us kine rich in milk, coming with minds made up to grant the desires (of the worshipper).
Who may give you aught, Vasus, for your favour, for what, at the Cow's place, ye grant through worship? Wake for us understanding full of riches, come with a heart that will fulfil our longing.
