Be you, O Mitra, bearer of wealth; praised is the fatness of offerings, resplendent and mighty in the ritual. Below you, Vishnu knows; the hymn and the sacrifice are pleasing, the oblations honored.
Be (to us), Viṣṇu, like a friend, the giver of happiness, the acepter of oblations, abounding with food, the granter of protection, and every way accessible; on which account your praise is to be repeatedly recited by the wise, and your worship to be celebrated by the offerer of oblations.
FAR-SHINING, widely famed, going thy wonted way, fed with the oil, be helpful. Mitra-like, to us. So, Visnu, e'en the wise must swell thy song of praise, and he who hath oblations pay thee solemn rites.
