तत्त॒दिद॑स्य॒ पौंस्यं॑ गृणीमसी॒नस्य॑ त्रा॒तुर॑वृ॒कस्य॑ मी॒ळ्हुषः॑ । यः पार्थि॑वानि त्रि॒भिरिद्विगा॑मभिरु॒रु क्रमि॑ष्टोरुगा॒याय॑ जी॒वसे॑
tattadidasya pauṃsyaṃ gṛṇīmasīnasya trāturavṛkasya mīḷhuṣaḥ yaḥ pārthivāni tribhiridvigāmabhiruru kramiṣṭorugāyāya jīvase
Thus I proclaim this progeny: the wolf-like savior, the mighty slayer. He who lived among men by threefold rites and brought forth progeny for the cattle.
Therefore, verily, we celebrate the manhood of that lord (of all), the preserver, the innocuous, the vigorous who traversed the three regions with three wide steps in different directions for the many-praised (preservation of) existence.
We laud this manly power of him the Mighty One, preserver, inoffensive, bounteous and benign; His who strode, widely pacing, with three steppings forth over the realms of earth for freedom and for life.
