anaśvo jāto anabhīśurarvā kanikradatpatayadūrdhvasānuḥ acittaṃ brahma jujuṣuryuvānaḥ pra mitre dhāma varuṇe gṛṇantaḥ
A horseless one was born without fear; the sky gave strength, horses rushed upward. The brave desired the sacred power; youths called the dwelling of Mitra and Varuna their home.
Without steeds, without stay, (he is nevertheless) borne swift-moving and loud-sounding; he travels, ascending higher and higher, connecting the inconceivable mystery (of sacred rites) with the radiance (abiding) in Mitra and Varuṇa, (which men), eulogizing, glorify.
Unbridled Courser, horn but not of horses, neighing he flieth on with back uplifted. The youthful love mystery thought-surpassing, praising in Mitra-Varuna, its glory.
