ये पा॒यवो॑ मामते॒यं ते॑ अग्ने॒ पश्य॑न्तो अ॒न्धं दु॑रि॒तादर॑क्षन् । र॒रक्ष॒ तान्सु॒कृतो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दा॒ दिप्स॑न्त॒ इद्रि॒पवो॒ नाह॑ देभुः
ye pāyavo māmateyaṃ te agne paśyanto andhaṃ duritādarakṣan rarakṣa tānsukṛto viśvavedā dipsanta idripavo nāha debhuḥ
Those waters which warded me off—these, O Agni, seeing them protect from blind ruin. He preserved them, the well-doer of Vishwa-Veda; the shining ones do not deceive the gods.
Your fostering (rays), Agni, beholding the blind son of Mamatā, relieved him of the affliction; he who knows all things protect the pious, and (their) malevolent enemies are unable to do them harm.
Thy guardian rays, O Agni, when they saw him, preserved blind Mamateya from affliction. Lord of all riches, he preserved the pious the foes who fain would harm them did no mischief.
