They called upon the dawn-born bearer in the skies like one imploring a divinity and are struck with remorse. Having done worship of gods with rite and couch, praising the mortal, they run universally, saying “may it be so.”

Pious worshippers then adore the invoker (of the gods), for (the propitiation of) the dwellers in heaven, as (such men) adore a powerful prince, since the many-lauded, and all upholding (Agni) knows how by (holy) act and (bodily) strength to bring together the gods and their mortal worshipper for the sake of obtaining (mutual) sustenance.

Therefore they choose him Herald at the morning rites, pressing to him as unto Bhaga, pouring gifts, When, much-praised, by the power and will of Gods, he goes at all times to his mortal worshipper to drink.
