निर्यदीं॑ बु॒ध्नान्म॑हि॒षस्य॒ वर्प॑स ईशा॒नासः॒ शव॑सा॒ क्रन्त॑ सू॒रयः॑ । यदी॒मनु॑ प्र॒दिवो॒ मध्व॑ आध॒वे गुहा॒ सन्तं॑ मात॒रिश्वा॑ मथा॒यति॑
niryadīṃ budhnānmahiṣasya varpasa īśānāsaḥ śavasā kranta sūrayaḥ yadīmanu pradivo madhva ādhave guhā santaṃ mātariśvā mathāyati
They who carried away the great buffalo, the sovereigns, the shining ones, pressed on with swift force. If the gods turned aside, the sweetened offerings at the midday rite abode, and Matariśvan thus strengthened them.
As powerful priests extract by force (of prayer) this Agni from his primitive seat, (for the evolution) of his mighty form; as the wind arouses him lurking in the hiding-plural ce (of the altar), for the sake of offering oblations now as of old.
What time from out the deep, from the Steer's wondrous form, the Chiefs who had the power produced him with their strength; When Matarisvan rubbed forth him who lay concealed, for mixture of the sweet drink, in the days of old.
