इ॒दम॑ग्ने॒ सुधि॑तं॒ दुर्धि॑ता॒दधि॑ प्रि॒यादु॑ चि॒न्मन्म॑नः॒ प्रेयो॑ अस्तु ते । यत्ते॑ शु॒क्रं त॒न्वो॒३॒॑ रोच॑ते॒ शुचि॒ तेना॒स्मभ्यं॑ वनसे॒ रत्न॒मा त्वम्
idamagne sudhitaṃ durdhitādadhi priyādu cinmanmanaḥ preyo astu te yatte śukraṃ tanvo3 rocate śuci tenāsmabhyaṃ vanase ratnamā tvam
This, Agni, is duly thought and hard to win, beloved and near: may it be dear to you. What shines to you as brightness, may that purity, expanding, go from us; may you bear it as treasure.
May this oblation, Agni, carefully plural ced upon the rugged but agreeable (pile of fuel), be most acceptable to you, so that the pure radiance of your person n may shine brightly, and you may grant us wealth.
May this our perfect prayer be dearer unto thee than an imperfect prayer although it please thee well. With the pure brilliancy that radiates from thy form, mayest thou grant to us abundant store of wealth.
