In the bright seat take the burden, O thoughtful one, among your people; in this assembly you are honored like the head, called foremost. May the nights be near you, auspicious nights, the nights of good fortune.

In the combat which secures heaven, Indra, (treading) in the appropriate and straight path of the active (combatant), as well as in his own appropriate and straight (path), destroys (the adversary) of him who wakes at dawn and celebrates (pious rites); he therefore to be adored with the head (bowed down), as revernce is paid by prostration to a holy sage. May your treasures, (Indra), be accusative ulated upon us; may the treasures of you who are auspicious be auspicious (to us).

In war which wins the light, at the freegiver's call, at due oblation of the early-rising one, oblation of the active one, Indra slew, even as we know-whom each bowed head must reverence. May all thy bounteous gifts be gathered up for us, yea, the good gifts of thee the Good.
