You, O Indra, having borne the vigorous axle, have placed greatness in the dwelling; may the mighty friend not fail us. The strengthened savior protected the chariot for a moment as for mortals. Another among our men will be seen, another like a mountain will be beheld.

Do you, Indra, (sustain us) with wealth that transports (man beyond calamity); for, (enhanced) greatness accrues to you, however mighty, (from our thanks) for (your) protection, as it does to Mitra for his powerful protection, most potent and immortal (Indra), our defender and preserver, (ascend) some chariot, (and come hither); devourer (of foes), repel any one assailing us; any one assailing us, devourer (of foes).

Thou art our own, O Indra, with victorious wealth: let might accompany thee, the Strong, to give us aid, like Mitra, to give mighty aid. O strongest saviour, helper thou, Immortal! of each warrior's car. Hurt thou another and not us, O Thunderarmed, one who would hurt, O Thunder-armed!
