We call you lord of trusts, lord of peoples; we offer to you the common pair, to be upheld with true praise. The host is guest of men, father of men who possess this. We invoke all immortals and the offerings, the age‑worthy invoked to the gods.
We invoke you, the protector of all people, the same alike to all, the preserver of the house, to enjoy (the oblation); you, who are the wafter of our infallible prayer, to enjoy (the oblation); we invoke you, who are the guest of men, to whom all these immortals apply for their sustenance, as (a son) to a father; you, to whom the priests offer oblations amongst the gods.
Thee we invoke, the Lord of all our settled homes, common to all, the household's guardian, to enjoy, bearer of true hymns, to enjoy. Thee we invoke, the guest of men, by whose mouth, even as a sire's, All these Immortals come to gain their food of life, oblations come to Gods as food.
