अम॑न्दा॒न्स्तोमा॒न्प्र भ॑रे मनी॒षा सिन्धा॒वधि॑ क्षिय॒तो भा॒व्यस्य॑ । यो मे॑ स॒हस्र॒ममि॑मीत स॒वान॒तूर्तो॒ राजा॒ श्रव॑ इ॒च्छमा॑नः
amandānstomānpra bhare manīṣā sindhāvadhi kṣiyato bhāvyasya yo me sahasramamimīta savānatūrto rājā śrava icchamānaḥ
O thou who art the Rudra-singer, thy thought bears the flood, the flow fades upon the mighty. He who seeks a thousand of mine — the king desirous of fame — comes forward unbidden.
I repeat with a (willing) mind, the unreluctant praises of Bhavya, dwellingon th ebanks of the Sindhu; a prince of unequalled (might), desirous of renown, who has enabled me to celebrate a thousand sacrifices.
WITH wisdom I present these lively praises of Bhavya dweller on the bank of Sindhu; For he, unconquered King, desiring glory, hath furnished me a thousand sacrifices.
