अ॒ष्टा म॒हो दि॒व आदो॒ हरी॑ इ॒ह द्यु॑म्ना॒साह॑म॒भि यो॑धा॒न उत्स॑म् । हरिं॒ यत्ते॑ म॒न्दिनं॑ दु॒क्षन्वृ॒धे गोर॑भस॒मद्रि॑भिर्वा॒ताप्य॑म्
aṣṭā maho diva ādo harī iha dyumnāsāhamabhi yodhāna utsam hariṃ yatte mandinaṃ dukṣanvṛdhe gorabhasamadribhirvātāpyam
Eight great ones of heaven are here; I am the radiant one among the bright ones, eager for combat. May the glorious one who goes before you, who treads the paths with slow might, equalize the cattle with his mountain-like powers and with winds.
Send hither your horses, the quaffers of the exhilarating libation; overcome, warrior, the adversary plural ndering us of our treasure; when they express with stones, for the increase (of your strength), the delightful, exhilarating, invigorating (Soma), to be overtaken by you, who are swifter than the wind.
Eight steeds thou broughtest down from mighty heaven, when fighting for the well that giveth splendour, That men might press with stones the gladdening yellow, strengthened with milk, fermenting, to exalt thee.
