Protect us, Indra, from this hostile, injuring force; ward off distress with thy thunderbolt. O chariot-drivers and stirrers of horses, awaken the sons of Dyaus, the ever-listening ones, for the sake of fame.
Indra, bearer of the thunderbolt, preserve us from this (poverty), that is so difficult to be destroyed, and from misfortune in war; grant us riches, conspicuous for chariots, remarkable for horses, for the sake of food, of fame, and of truth.
Indra, preserve thou us from this affliction Thunder-armed, save us from the misery near us. Vouchsafe us affluence in chariots, founded on horses, for our food and fame and gladness.
