yuvaṃ hyāstaṃ maho ranyuvaṃ vā yanniratataṃsatam tā no vasū sugopā syātaṃ pātaṃ no vṛkādaghāyoḥ
You indeed are that great rain-lord, or that which is spread afar; may those riches be ours — a good herdsman may the track bring us, the pastures of the wolves.
You have been givers of great riches; you have again caused them to disappear; do you, who are donors of dwellings, become our preservers; protect us from the felonous robber.
For ye were ever nigh to deal forth ample wealth, to give the wealth that ye had gathered up. As such, ye Vasus, guard us well, and keep us safely from the wicked wolf.
