In the bodies of your steeds, O Ashvins, the youthful‑yoked chariot and speech that pleases the slayer of this realm: may lordship and friendship be yours — she chose him who may be your master.
Aśvins, your admirable (horses) bore the car which you had carnessed, (first) to the goal, for the sake of honour, and the damsel, who was the prize, came through affection, to you, and acknowledged your (husbandship), saying, "you are (my) lords".
Asvins, the car which you had yoked for glorious show your own two voices urged directed to its goal. Then she who came for friendship, Maid of noble birth, elected you as Husbands, you to be her Lords.
