You, having brought threefold heat and stirring the burnt marrow, O Ashvins, struck down the hard‑bristled foe. You gave an eye to Kanva (or to Kanva’s line) filled with aspiration; you granted praise, O brave ones, accomplished.
You (gave relief) to the imprisoned Atri, (quenching the) scorching heat, and fed him with grateful food; solicitous of worthy praise, you gave sight of Kaṇva, blinded (by darkness).
To Atri, cast down to the fire that scorched him, ye gave, O Asvins, strengthening tbod and favour. Accepting his fair praises with approval, ye gave his eyes again to blinded Kanva.
