For the ancient strength of the Ashvins they yoked many steeds, offered them, drew forth the swift chariot-horses. They bound a thousand-fold vigorous one, unheard, to the listening tree of fame.
Aśvins, who assume many forms, you gave to Pedu a swift horse, the bringer of a thousand (treasures), powerful, irresistible, the destroyer of foes, the object of praise, the bearer (over dangers).
O Asvins, wearing many forms at pleasure, on Pedu ye bestowed a fleet-foot courser, Strong, winner of a thousand spoils, resistless the serpent slayer, glorious, triumphant.
