imā rudrāya tavase kapardine kṣayadvīrāya pra bharāmahe matīḥ yathā śamasaddvipade catuṣpade viśvaṃ puṣṭaṃ grāme asminnanāturam
To Rudra, puissant, to the rough-bearded, to the one who destroys the warrior’s strength, we offer thought; just as the two-footed and four-footed, the world well-fed in the village, we invoke thee to endure.
We offer these praises to the mighty Rudra, with the braided hair, the destroyer of heroes, in order that health may be enjoyed by bipeds and quadrupeds, and that all being sin this villag may be (well) nourished and exempt from disease.
To the strong Rudra bring we these our songs of praise, to him the Lord of Heros with the braided hair, That it be well with all our cattle and our men, that in this village all he healthy and well-fed.
