उषो॒ यद॒ग्निं स॒मिधे॑ च॒कर्थ॒ वि यदाव॒श्चक्ष॑सा॒ सूर्य॑स्य । यन्मानु॑षान्य॒क्ष्यमा॑णा॒ँ अजी॑ग॒स्तद्दे॒वेषु॑ चकृषे भ॒द्रमप्नः॑
uṣo yadagniṃ samidhe cakartha vi yadāvaścakṣasā sūryasya yanmānuṣānyakṣyamāṇām̐ ajīgastaddeveṣu cakṛṣe bhadramapnaḥ
Dawn who kindled Agni with fuel and who fixed the eye of the Sun; she, unblamed by men, strengthened them and bestowed auspiciousness among the gods.
Uṣās, inasmuch as you have caused the sacred fire to be kindled, inasmuch as you have lighted the world with the light of the sun, inasmuch as you have wakened men to perform sacrifice, you have done good service to the godṣ
As thou, Dawn, hast caused Agni to be kindled, and with the Sun's eye hast revealed creation. And hast awakened men to offer worship, thou hast performed, for Gods, a noble service.
