स्यूम॑ना वा॒च उदि॑यर्ति॒ वह्निः॒ स्तवा॑नो रे॒भ उ॒षसो॑ विभा॒तीः । अ॒द्या तदु॑च्छ गृण॒ते म॑घोन्य॒स्मे आयु॒र्नि दि॑दीहि प्र॒जाव॑त्
syūmanā vāca udiyarti vahniḥ stavāno rebha uṣaso vibhātīḥ adyā taduccha gṛṇate maghonyasme āyurni didīhi prajāvat
Either with sweet voice the fire arose, the praised one—its radiances are the splendours of Dawn. Today the mighty one speaks forth; grant us life and bestow progeny upon us.
The offerer of praise, the reciter of praise, celebrating the brilliant Uṣas, repeats the well-connected words (of the Veda). Possessor of affluence, dawn today upon him who praise you; bestow upon us food, whence progeny may be obtained.
Singing the praises of refulgent Mornings with his hymn's web the priest, the poet rises. Shine then to-day, rich Maid, on him who lauds thee, shine down on us the gift of life and offipring.
