या॒व॒यद्द्वे॑षा ऋत॒पा ऋ॑ते॒जाः सु॑म्ना॒वरी॑ सू॒नृता॑ ई॒रय॑न्ती । सु॒म॒ङ्ग॒लीर्बिभ्र॑ती दे॒ववी॑तिमि॒हाद्योषः॒ श्रेष्ठ॑तमा॒ व्यु॑च्छ
yāvayaddveṣā ṛtapā ṛtejāḥ sumnāvarī sūnṛtā īrayantī sumaṅgalīrbibhratī devavītimihādyoṣaḥ śreṣṭhatamā vyuccha
As long as two passions abide, the laws and splendours, the prosperous ones make streams of songs; the auspicious bestowers bear the godly fame—today the foremost Dawn unfolds.
The beings hostile (to acts of devotion) now withdraw, for she is the protectress of sacred rites, who is manifested for their performance; she is the giver of happiness, the awakener of plural asant voices, the enjoyer of felicity, and provider of food for the gods; most excellent Uṣās dawn today on this (sacrificial hall).
Foe-chaser, born of Law, the Law's protectress, joy-giver waker of all pleasant voices, Auspicious, bringing food for Gods' enjoyment, shine on us here, most bright, O Dawn, this morning.
