We offer clarified butter like a flow from the minds of sages into the midst of heaven and men, that the swift-winged sons, having crossed over, the offspring of the father, may ascend with brilliant strength to the realm of light.

To the leaders (of the sacrifice), dwelling in the firmament, we present, as with a ladle, the appointed clarified butter, and praise with knowledge those Ṛbhus, who, having equalled the velocityof the protector (of the universe, the sun), ascended to the region of heaven, through (the offerings) of (sacrificial) food.

As oil in ladles, we through knowledge will present unto the Heroes of the firmament our hymn,- The Rbhus who came near with this great Father's speed, and rose to heaven's high sphere to cat the strengthening food.
