He brought us, bolt-handed, to the ravine-city; Indra and Agni came bearing them. May Mitra and Varuna, the leaders, the sky, the river, the earth and the heavens protect us.
Indra and Agni, wielders of the thunderbolt, overturners of cities, grant us wealth, defens us in battles; and may Mitra, Varuṇa, Aditi--ocean, earth and heaven, be propitious to this (our prayer).
Give, ye who shatter forts, whose hands wield thunder: Indra and Agni, save us in our battles. This prayer of ours may Varuna grant, and Mitra, and Aditi and Sindhu, Earth and Heaven.
