suparṇā eta āsate madhya ārodhane divaḥ te sedhanti patho vṛkaṃ tarantaṃ yahvatīrapo vittaṃ me asya rodasī
Winged ones (Suparṇā) have mounted amid the heavens’ ascent; they make a path where the wolf flees, the swift chariot-driver — grant me this wealth of hers, O Rodaśī.
The rays of the sun abide in the surrounding centre of heaven; they drive back the wolf crossing the great waters from the path. Heaven and earth, be conscious of this (my affliction).
High in the mid ascent of heaven those Birds of beauteous pinion sit. Back from his path they drive the wolf as he would cross the restless floods. Mark this my woe, ye Earth and Heaven.
