शुष्णं॒ पिप्रुं॒ कुय॑वं वृ॒त्रमि॑न्द्र य॒दाव॑धी॒र्वि पुरः॒ शम्ब॑रस्य । तन्नो॑ मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो मामहन्ता॒मदि॑तिः॒ सिन्धुः॑ पृथि॒वी उ॒त द्यौः
śuṣṇaṃ pipruṃ kuyavaṃ vṛtramindra yadāvadhīrvi puraḥ śambarasya tanno mitro varuṇo māmahantāmaditiḥ sindhuḥ pṛthivī uta dyauḥ
They asked for the dried, the potent, the Vritra-slaying drink which stood before the treasure of abundance. May Mitra and Varuna, Aditi, Sindhu, Earth and Heaven grant that to us.
Inasmuch, Indra, as you have slain Śuṣṇa, Pipru, Kuyava and Vṛtra, and destroyed the cities of Śambara, therefore may Mitra, Varuṇa, Aditi--ocean, earth, and heaven, grant us that (which we desire).
As thou hast smitten Susna, Pipru, Vrtra and Kuyava, and Sambara's forts O Indra. This prayer of ours may Varuna grant, and Mitra, and Aditi and Sindhu, Earth and Heaven.
