Arise, O mighty one, be more exalted, rouse thy zeal with a thousandfold impulse; O slayer of foes, with counsel protect us. For our sake, O thoughtful one, vanquish the mighty Vrtra, O slayer of cities.
The food, Maghavan, (which is to be given by you) to men, may be more than sufficient for a hundred, oor for more, even, than a thousand; great praise has glorified you, who are without limit, whereupon you destroy your enemies.
Thy glory, Maghavan, exceeds a hundred yea, more than a hundred, than a thousand mid the folk, The great bowl hath inspirited thee boundlessly: so mayst thou slay the Vrtras breaker-down of forts!
