तम॑प्सन्त॒ शव॑स उत्स॒वेषु॒ नरो॒ नर॒मव॑से॒ तं धना॑य । सो अ॒न्धे चि॒त्तम॑सि॒ ज्योति॑र्विदन्म॒रुत्वा॑न्नो भव॒त्विन्द्र॑ ऊ॒ती
tamapsanta śavasa utsaveṣu naro naramavase taṃ dhanāya so andhe cittamasi jyotirvidanmarutvānno bhavatvindra ūtī
They sought him in funeral rites and joyous assemblies when men were gathered; give him wealth. He is the light of the blind mind—Maruts elder-born, may he become like Indra who rises up.
To him, a leader (to victory), his worshippers apply in contests of strength for protection and for wealth, as he grants them the light (of conquest) in the bewildering darkness (of battle); may Indra, associated with the Maruts, be our protection.
To him the Hero, on high days of prowess, heroes for help and booty shall betake them. He hath found light even in the blinding darkness. May Indra, girt by Maruts, be our succour.
