देखि राम छबि कोउ एक कहई। जोगु जानकिहि यह बरु अहई।। जौ सखि इन्हहि देख नरनाहू। पन परिहरि हठि करइ बिबाहू।। कोउ कह ए भूपति पहिचाने। मुनि समेत सादर सनमाने।। सखि परंतु पनु राउ न तजई। बिधि बस हठि अबिबेकहि भजई।। कोउ कह जौं भल अहइ बिधाता। सब कहँ सुनिअ उचित फलदाता।। तौ जानकिहि मिलिहि बरु एहू। नाहिन आलि इहाँ संदेहू।। जौ बिधि बस अस बनै सँजोगू। तौ कृतकृत्य होइ सब लोगू।। सखि हमरें आरति अति तातें। कबहुँक ए आवहिं एहि नातें।।
dēkhi rāma chabi kōu ēka kahaī. jōgu jānakihi yaha baru ahaī.. jau sakhi inhahi dēkha naranāhū. pana parihari haṭhi karai bibāhū.. kōu kaha ē bhūpati pahicānē. muni samēta sādara sanamānē.. sakhi paraṃtu panu rāu na tajaī. bidhi basa haṭhi abibēkahi bhajaī.. kōu kaha jauṃ bhala ahai bidhātā. saba kahaom sunia ucita phaladātā.. tau jānakihi milihi baru ēhū. nāhina āli ihāom saṃdēhū.. jau bidhi basa asa banai saomjōgū. tau kṛtakṛtya hōi saba lōgū.. sakhi hamarēṃ ārati ati tātēṃ. kabahuka ē āvahiṃ ēhi nātēṃ..
Beholding Sri Rama's beauty someone said, "Here is a bridegroom worthy of Princess Janaki. If the king does but see him, friend, I am sure he will abandon his vow and insist upon their marriage." Said another, "The king has come to know them and has received them as well as the sage with all honour. But the king, my dear, refuses to give up his vow and, as Fate would have it, persists in his folly." Yet another said," If providence is good and, as we are told, gives every man his due, then Janaki is sure to have him as her bridegroom. About this, my dear, there can be no doubt. If such a union is brought about by Providence, everyone will have realized one's object. My impatience, friend, is augmented by the thought that this alliance will impel him to visit this place again.
