देवा ऊचुः प्रगृह्यौदुम्बरं पात्रं तोयपूर्णमुदङ्मुखः। उपवासं तु गृह्णीयाद् यद् वा संकल्पयेद् व्रतम्॥ देवतास्तस्य तुष्यन्ति कामिकं चापि सिध्यति। अन्यथा हि वृथा मर्त्याः कुर्वते स्वल्पबुद्धयः॥
