एवं क्षान्तातीतादिनिवृत्तिपर्यन्तं पूर्ववत्कृत्वा प्रणवेन तत्त्वत्रयकमनुध्याय आत्मानं दीपशिखाकारं पुर्यष्टकसहितं त्रयातीतं शक्तिक्षोभेणामृतधारां सुषुम्णायां ध्यात्वा।।
evaṃ kṣāntātītādinivṛttiparyantaṃ pūrvavatkṛtvā praṇavena tattvatrayakamanudhyāya ātmānaṃ dīpaśikhākāraṃ puryaṣṭakasahitaṃ trayātītaṃ śaktikṣobheṇāmṛtadhārāṃ suṣumṇāyāṃ dhyātvā||
Śailādi said: The following rites are performed one after the other. The Kalās beginning with Śāntyatīta and ending with Nivṛtti shall be meditated upon as before. Three[9] Tattvas shall be meditated upon by means of Praṇava. The Atman along with the eight Puris[10] and having the shape of the flame of a lamp shall be meditated upon, as situated beyond the three[11] Tattvas. The nectarine current flows into the Suṣumnā vessel due to the agitation[12] of Śakti.
