Sūta said: On seeing the lord of Devas, Viṣṇu became glad and paid obeisance to him. The lord was embellished with matted hair as if with a crown. He resembled a hundred million suns. He was divine and surrounded by clusters of flames. He was terrible with sharp fangs. He was holding the trident, axe, iron club, discus, javelin and noose. He showed gestures of granting boon and protection with his hands. He wore the hide of a tiger as his upper garment. He was adorned with Bhasman.
