Sūta said:: It bestows the benefits of heaven and salvation. It is the cause of identity with Śiva. Or, one who has no perfect knowledge may perform holy rites due to attachments. After enjoying Rājasa and Tāmasa pleasures he is liberated there itself (i.e. in this world). Similarly, he who performs meritorious deeds attains the benefit in heaven.
