The lord said: Undoubtedly if the preceptor is satisfied, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Rudra, Devas and sages are also satisfied and they bless him. One shall never infuriate the preceptor physically, mentally or verbally. By his wrath are burned the longevity, fortune, wisdom and good holy rites. The sacrifices of those who infuriate him are futile. His japas and other observances are also futile. No doubt need be entertained in this respect. One shall assiduously refrain from making any statement against the preceptor. If out of great delusion he speaks it out, he will fall into Raurava hell. O fair lady, never should one falsely cheat the preceptor mentally, or verbally or physically or monetarily. If he proclaims the wicked qualities of his preceptor he will have hundred times that wickedness. If he proclaims the good qualities he will have the benefit of all good qualities. Whether directed or not, he shall always do what is beneficent and pleasing to the preceptor.
