“So be it”, said Devas to Śiva, who is bowed to by all the worlds. That is why Devas, Asuras and human beings are called Paśus. Rudra is the lord of Paśus[7] and the liberator of Paśus from their bondage. He who is Paśu, shall eschew that state through this holy rite. The scriptures declare that even by committing sins he does not become a sinner.
