Sūta said: Rudra, Maheśvara the lord of Devas stationed himself along with his consort Satī, for the benefit of the worlds. He is Parameśvara, Rudra and Paśupati. Formerly the three cities were burned by him. By his brilliance. Devas became Paśus (Individual Souls). He who reads or listens to the splendid order of the primordial creation attains the world of Brahmā. He who narrates the same to the excellent brahmins also attains Brahmā’s world.
